The Metchosin Community Association hosts a wide variety of ongoing art-related events:

Art Drop In
Weekly drop-in art sessions every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The only requirement is a MCA membership at $10 for the year.

Art on the Walls
Monthly displays of paintings and photographs from local artists and a collection of historical photos of Metchosin. The house is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with many programs are held in the afternoons. Many private and public functions occur on the weekends as well.

Knitting Cafe
Knitters of every skill are welcome to this informal cafe. Held on every 1st and 3rd Monday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. and on every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month from 1 to 3 p.m. Request of a donation at the door.

Parents and Tots
The Parents and Tots program was created by Metchosin Community Association to help parents, caregivers and children avoid the isolation that sometimes comes with living in a rural environment like Metchosin. Weekly on Fridays from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Entry by donation at the door.

Rough Voice Singers
Drop-in program for all those that love to sing. Held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from September to April; starts at 7 p.m. and lasts approx. 2 hours (with tea served at the half-time intermission). Suggested donation of $2 per person at the door.

Rug Hookers
Creative rug hooking led by Sheila Stewart. Held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of every month from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. No fees but a donation jar is available to cover refreshment costs.

Ukelele Group
An informal drop-in program for those that love to play ukulele and sing. Held on the 3rd Friday of every from from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Suggested donation of $2 per person at the door.
