Room #1: It just came to me
A Socials assignment I spent too much time on. Coloured with pencils, it is heavily inspired by and references a video game I enjoy. Currently on my classroom wall, subject to change in the near future.
Alina / École John Stubbs / Grade 8
I wanted this piece to fit the early 2000's anime style. The theme I was going for was inspired by those games that are supposed to give you scary "viruses", which is why I gave it a glitch affect with bold teal colours.
Olivia / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
This is a drawing of a bird made from pencil crayon
Natalie / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
This piece is a landscape I saw on my TV. The colours and the nature inspired me and so I decided to paint it digitally. The purple goes well with the brown mountains and the night sky, the pink and blue clouds blending with the dark canvas.
Olivia / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
I drew this because of all the little humming birds outside and they are so pretty. I put them down on paper so I could admire them all year long.
Madeline / Dunsmuir / Grade 7

Natalie / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
This painting is a scene from Alappuzha in Kerala, India. Alappuzha is famous for their plentiful backwaters, palm trees, and beautiful house boats. In the painting, I made sure to include all signature aspects to this piece.

Gwen / Royal Bay / Grade 9

Tina / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
This piece is inspired by 2000's shojo anime art style with Y2K aesthetics. I used soft pink tones, colorful and detailed eyes, and cute decorations like hearts, stars, ribbons, and wings. I wanted to explore creativity, and visual storytelling.
Olivia / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
Pencil crayon dragon portrait (no reference photo used)
Gwen / Royal Bay / Grade 9
For this piece, I wanted to go for a angelic aesthetic. I used 3 main colours to this drawing, white, yellow, and blue because I thought it would go very well aesthetically. I gave her soft features and long eyelashes to symbolize beauty.
Olivia / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
Room #2: Stars of Print and Screen
I drew Thorfinn from the anime Vinland Saga
Maya / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
My watercolour painting is called "The Last Day of Elizabeth Lavenza".
She's a side character in Mary Shelley's *Frankenstein*, and is killed by Frankenstein's Monster, who has, by then, taken everything from Victor Frankenstein, except his life.
Toluwani / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
I enjoy playing games, whether it be tabletop or computer. I wanted this piece to capture the drama of an epic final showdown in it's bright, shining glory.
Owen / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
This piece was made digitally. I was inspired by a Gacha Life Music Video, a classic called Devils don't fly, featuring a devil and an angel's forbidden love. It's very nastolgic and funny to me, so I decided to paint it featuring random little cats.
Olivia / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
Wonder Woman
Natalie / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
This is a drawing I did of Chuuya Nakahara from the anime Bungo stray dogs. It's a scene from the show and I redrew it.
Maya / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
Found a picture on Pinterest and used it as a reference to draw my favourite characters from a series
Maya / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
This painting is a replica of "The Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh. The brush strokes are positioned in a way that makes everything appear to be moving. "I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day." - Van Gogh
Juno / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
This piece is made digitally. I started to watch one of my favorite childhood shows Pokemon again. I've always liked Umbreon, so I decided to draw it with my own style.

Gwen / Royal Bay / Grade 9
Groot from guardians of the galaxy multi medium artwork.
Gwen / Royal Bay / Grade 9
This piece was inspired by a art challenge I saw on Pinterest (those randomized o.c making challenges). I think the colours go together nicely. I gave her coins because despite being smart/intelligent, she is very greedy. (It's a My Little Pony O.C)

Gwen / Royal Bay / Grade 9

Gwen / Royal Bay / Grade 9
In this piece I wanted to capture the cheerful and "teenage dirtbag" essence of my original character. In the background, it shows her badly made doodles of guitars, rainbows, cats, ect. I wanted to show how wild her imagination is through the piece.
Olivia / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
Multi medium bug visual journal prompt done for art class.
Gwen / Royal Bay / Grade 9

Olivia / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
In this piece I was going for a year of the rabbit zodiac design. The kimono she is wearing has simple but unique designs on it that captures the spirit of the rabbit. I used my own art style for this drawing.
Olivia / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
This piece is inspired by my favorite childhood show, Octonauts. I made my own otter-like original character, who is curious and likes to explore the ocean. While making this I remembered lots of nastolgic memories while watching the show.
Olivia / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
