2025 Virtual Gallery
Jun 12
Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Virtual Gallery!
We received 38 entries from 19 youth artists from local schools!
Their contributions ranged from drawings to ceramics and a video.
The visual art has been divided into 3 different rooms based on their subject!
Room #1: Nature

Lexington / Dunsmuir / Grade 7
This artwork is from a game I enjoy (name of game bottom right corner) showing two of the creatures that are name Aesmir and Opralegion.

Maena Holly / Dunsmuir / Grade 6
I made a small animation of someone spinning in circles. (Roy-G-Biv)
-Frame capture from the video-

Arundhati / Dunsmuir / Grade 7
A personal sketch of one of my favorite characters, Hatsune Miku. Her design has always inspired me, and I wanted to capture her energy in a simple pencil drawing.

Arundhati / Dunsmuir / Grade 7
I painted Pikachu digitally using just one finger! It was tricky, but I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Room #2: People

Hailey / Dunsmuir / Grade 7
Through the lens, the past plays like a summer movie. For this photo collage I wanted to create a retro charm with vintage aesthetics.

Mila / Royal Bay / Grade 10
A portrait of inner emotions and opportunities. To grow bigger but to be held back.

Hailey / Dunsmuir / Grade 7
This piece is a contrast of sketch & a polished finish. Where imagination meets reality.

Hailey / Dunsmuir / Grade 7
For this piece I wanted to go for a throwback vibe that captures the iconic essence of 2000's R&B.

Gwendolyn / Dunsmuir / Grade 8
Sketchbook page dedicated to trying out negative space! Used pencil crayons, acrylic pens and a few interesting references.
Room #3: Scenes & Things

Arundhati / Dunsmuir / Grade 7
The name of the art is "Spirals of thought". Just think of a mind, each spirals are some kind of thoughts and they are related to each other and some are deep and some are not.

Raine / Royal Bay / Grade 12
Playland amusement park's newest roller coaster located in Vancouver BC - painted digitally in a pastel watercolour style evoking spring blossoms and warm sun.

YuanXi / Centre Mountain Lellum / Grade 8
This was one of my first paintings that I have ever made 2 years ago. It is a painting of a squirrel bathing in the golden sunlight, surrounded by green foliage and small trees.
